Most of our cages are hanging 20" x 22" and boy does this help for ease of cleaning especially since we feed lots of Timothy hay

BACK

Our rabbit journey began in the fall of 1998. As most our, daughter Whitney wanted a bunny so as we browsed
our options at the local county fair we and kept coming back to the Netherland Dwarf. Next of course came 4-H,
fitting and showing, by now both kids were involved, Dustin with cavies (guinea pigs) and Whitney with her
beloved dwarfs. They were quite successful and by 2001 Dustin had won the title of Washington State Cavy King
and Whitney won Washington State Duchess, and they both won many of the other categories such as
management, breed ID, judging not to mention all of the show wins they had accumulated along the way, Best
of Breeds, Best in Shows, and many Fitting and Showing wins. 2001 was also the first year that we attended the
ARBA Convention, WOW. The kids also competed in royalty, judging, management and even entered and won
the T-shirt design contest. Whitney's little opal dwarf doe Peek At Chu's Puka won Best Opposite of Group 3 &
Best Junior of Group. We missed the Netherland Dwarf Breed Banquet to our disappointment but the kids had a
great time at the royalty banquet and both walked out with armfuls of plackets from all the awards that they
had won, it was great and to top it off Joy Bramhall's REW Netherland Dwarf doe won BEST IN SHOW! It couldn't
have been more perfect,(well maybe if the transmission hadn't gone out in the our old Astro van down in San
Diego costing us $2000.00, had that happened at home we would have put a wrecking yard motor in for ¼ the
cost), that probably would have made it a little better!
Time goes by and kids grow up but as for me, I was hooked on netherland dwarfs. When Whitney moved on
with college plans I took over her herd of Dwarfs which I was previously just a bystander, helping feed, clean
cages, etc., the normal mom things. So I had to work a little harder and learn lots more(and will continue to
each day), to show in open and earn a place among our wonderful dwarf breeders in the Pacific Northwest.
And now, after 3 ARBA conventions behind me with my first travel companion Deanna Elkins 2006 & 2007, then
roomies Cynthia McCready and Janet Forrest at the 2009 ARBA Convention, two Dwarf National Champion
shows, one in Ventura California 2007 and 2009 Dwarf Nationals in Montpelier Ohio, I can say my "Obsession
with Perfection" is even stronger. My determination to breed the most ideally typed netherland as per the
ARBA Standard of Perfection and my desire to provide the most clean and efficient environment are paramount.
And winning this years 2009 ARBA convention Netherland Dwarf Best of Variety Chocolate,
Best Opposite Variety Chocolate and Best Jr Chocolate and Best of Variety Fawn and
Best Jr of Variety Fawn has helped me validate my progress as these are 3rd generation
Peek At Chu bunnies.
Hopefully you will have a Peek At Chu bunny in your barn someday to add to your show
stock, breeding stock or just a loving companion. I hope you enjoy my website, I will
try to update it as time permits, thank you, Vicki Weisgerber

One of the best kids I have produced, Pac's Eyegon injured after birth, he won't ever see a show table but he will be a future herd sire,
