| ur Very first dwarf was a little chestnut buck names Safford's Rhupert (wish I would have taken pictures of him!) but he was the one that got us hooked, his first show he won Best of Breed Open. He was a very rufus colored chestnut which I tend to like more, it's a little more exciting to me than the browned down version but some judges might not agree with that and I also find it helpful in crossing into my otters. I strive for strong ring definition and very nice dark under color as well as nice dark jet black ticking. Of course type is the ultimate concern as well, nice medium heavy bone, full hind quarters, not pin bony, huge head and short thick ears, oh and ya got to have those large expressive eyes! |
